  Desktop Developer Training Program

The Office Developer Training is designed to teach students how to implement Win32 desktop application solutions by using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0. Win32 Desktop Applications are applications that are run by a single user on a single computer that runs Microsoft Windows. These applications reside on the hard drive of the user's computer and use local COM components.  

Course topics Include Computer Basics,  MS Word 2000, MS Excel 2000, MS Access 2000, MS PowerPoint 2000, Developing Office Applications/Visual Basic 6.0. Students interested in certification would be able to either become a Microsoft Certified Professional or earn credit toward Microsoft Certified Solution Developer when they take Microsoft (Exam 70-176) Exam.

 Students will also be able to take the Microsoft Office User Certificate Exams. This will require further reading and self-study. Learning tools and tutoring available in our facility, please contact us for more details.

 E-Business Specialist Training Program

The E-Business course is for individual looking to master current e-business technology. The course teaches individuals how to plan, design and develop professional e-business websites. The e-business uses realistic business scenarios, giving participants a hand-on opportunity to planning, creating, designing, developing and implementing corporate Internet based projects and applications.

Course Topics include Advanced HTML, DHTML, Image Maps, Server Side Includes, Basic Java Script, Database Integration with Cold Fusion, Java Applets, Embedding Multimedia, Character Entities, Visual Basic Script, CGI, Perl, Active Server Pages, Live Wire Pro, Cookies, OOPs, Cascading Style Sheets.

Upon successful completion of this course students will gain a firm understanding of E-Business web site design, setup, implementation and maintenance techniques. Students successfully completing this course will also gain a comprehensive knowledge of current e-business development techniques and marketing strategies.

E-Commerce Specialist Program

The E-Commerce Specialist Program course is for individuals looking to master original E-Commerce Website planning, building and designing skills. Upon successful completion of this course students will gain a firm understanding of e-commerce web site design and implementation. Students will use real-life scenarios to gain the advantage of hands-on experience.

Web Authoring and Designing

The Web Authoring and Designing course is for individuals looking to master Website authoring and designing skills. The course focuses on teaching students how to plan, design, develop and implement corporate and professional websites. By applying realistic business scenarios, participants gain a hands-on opportunity to plan, create, design, develop and implement corporate Internet based projects and applications.

Upon Successful completion of this course, students will be able to successfully plan, design, develop and implement a corporate or professional Website. Web Developer

The Web Developer course is for individuals looking to gain strong understanding of advanced HTML, Dynamic HTML, Scripting Languages and other advanced Internet technology features.

Webmaster Certificate Program

The Web Master Program is a complete program that enables individual to understand the overall architecture and technology of building, designing, administering and implementing a corporate and professional Website.

Upon Successful completion of this course, students will be able to successfully plan, design, develop and implement a corporate or professional Website. Students will also gain good experience with web site creation tools such as FrontPage 2000, NetObjects Fusion, HomeSite, dreamWeaver, Cold Fusion, MS Visual InterDev, Java, JavaScript, Internet Databases, Introduction to E-Commerce, Web Servers and Platforms and much more. In addition students will gain a firm understanding of the latest Internet Technology terms, concepts and principles out on the market today.

Web Server Manager

The Web Server Manager course is for individuals looking to the ability to implement, administer and troubleshoot web servers. This course focuses on teaching students how to implement, configure and administer design corporate and professional web server with a focus on the Microsoft Internet Information Server.

Microsoft Access 2000

Microsoft Access 2000 is a relational database application that is extremely powerful yet very straightforward to use. Access provides a number of database wizards that will help you create your own databases quickly and efficiently. Upon Successful completion of this course, students will be able to Understand database concepts and terminology in Access 2000. In addition, students will learn how to design and create tables, enter and manipulate data in tables, use Access queries to select and analyze information in a table, create data forms for viewing and inputting data, create reports that summarize and group data. In addition students will be able to plan, design and implement a database for individual or workgroup use.

Excel

Microsoft Excel 2000 is a powerful spreadsheet program that enables you to create simple worksheets or specialty worksheets like invoices and financial statements. Excel provides all the tools and formulas for doing simple math or special statistical and financial calculations. Upon successfully completion of this course, students will be able to use an electronic spreadsheet to create reports such as budgets, Marketing and sales reports, expense reports, Invoices and Purchase orders, Basic financial statements, Spreadsheet information for use on the Intranet/Internet.

Microsoft PowerPoint 2000

Microsoft PowerPoint 2000 is an easy-to-use presentation application that enables you to create eye-catching and impressive slideshows that can be shown from your computer monitor or other video output device. Upon successfully completion of this course, students will be able to use Power Point to plan, design and create presentations that will be delivered over a variety of media

Microsoft Word 2000

Microsoft Word 2000 is a versatile word processing application that enables you to create every possible type of document from simple letters to newsletters to reports that include charts and tables. Upon successfully completion of this course, students will be able to apply styles, create forms, use form fields, add graphics, work with large documents, share documents, and prepare documents as intranet web pages

Visual Basic 6.0

The Desktop Applications/Visual Basic 6.0 is designed to teach students how to implement Win32 desktop application solutions by using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0. These applications reside on the hard drive of the user's computer and use local COM components. These applications can employ a two-tier architecture that uses remote data. Students interested in certification would be able to either become a Microsoft Certified Professional or earn credit toward Microsoft Certified Solution Developer when they take Microsoft (Exam 70-176) Exam. HTML

The Web Authoring with HTML 4.0 course is for individuals looking to master Website Authoring with HTML 4.0. This course focuses on teaching students how to write, analyze and resolve HTML codes and coding error. The Web Authoring with HTML 4.0 course uses realistic business scenarios, giving participants a hands-on opportunity to plan, create, design, develop and implement web based projects and applications. Upon Successful completion of this course, students will be able to successfully plan, design, develop and implement a corporate or professional Website using html.

Microsoft FrontPage 2000

FrontPage 2000 is powerful web software development tool for planning, designing, developing, and deploying web solutions. This course focuses on teaching the primary skills required to utilize the power of Microsoft FrontPage 2000 in an intranet/Internet development environment. Upon Successful completion of this course, students will be able to successfully plan, design, develop and implement a corporate or professional Website using FrontPage 2000

XML

The Web Authoring with XML course is for individuals looking to master Website Authoring with XML. This course focuses on teaching students how to write, analyze and resolve XML codes and coding error. Upon Successful completion of this course, students will be able to successfully plan, design, develop and implement a corporate or professional Website using XML.

Flash

This course teaches the student how to use Flash to create better, more efficient ways of sending graphics over the Internet Upon Successful completion of this course; students will gain a good understanding of the web design with Flash

 

Visual InterDev 6.0

The Web Developer/Visual InterDev 6.0 course is designed to teach students how to analyze build, design and implement web-based solutions by using Microsoft Visual InterDev 6.0.Students interested in certification would be able to either become a Microsoft Certified Professional or earn credit toward Microsoft Certified Solution Developer or Microsoft Certified Professional + Site Building when they take Microsoft (Exam 70-152) Exam.  PC Basics

The Computer Basics Course is devoted to introductory skills and emphasizes on the hardware and software that make computers work. Upon Successful completion of this course, students will be gain a good understanding of the computer hardware and how it works.

 

Internet Basics

Upon Successful completion of this course, students will be gain a good understanding of the Internet and how it works. The Internet Basics Course is an introduction to the underlying hardware, software and terms pertaining to the Internet.

 

Java

Dig into building great Graphical User Interfaces in this exploration of the latest features of JFC for Java 2. Get the skills you need to use JFC for simplified development and deployment of commercial quality desktop and Internet applications. Topics include: features of JFC, Swing, API Overview of Java 2D, Drag and Drop concepts, accessibility issues, and GUI using JFC. View a GUI project from the "top-down", exploring the actual project development by breaking the completed project into easy to understand steps and techniques.  Implement GUI that facilitates a customizable look and feel. Able to develop applications using key foundation services Develop applications that meet federal regulations.

Active Server Pages

This program is for anyone who wants to learn how to create Active Server Pages, including programmers, technical managers, application developers and database specialists. What students learn: Differences between web programming and traditional programming The ASP object model and server components To create client/server web-based database applications using ADO To simultaneously connect to multiple data sources and properly relinquish resources when done. Knowledge of programming concepts, exposure to HTML, familiarity with relational database concepts is required.

JavaScript

This is a technical class, which will introduce you to the basics of coding in JavaScript. You will learn how to embed a JavaScript program in a web page, create your own custom objects, handle different events, and Perform client-side form validation. Other topics include, Building Blocks (expressions, operators, variables, constants) Programming Constructs (loops, comments, conditions, functions) creating and Using Objects. Event Handling Built-in Objects (Window, Location, Document, History, Form, Array, Date, Math, String, etc).

Cold Fusion

This is a technical class, which will introduce you to the basics of coding in ColdFusion. You will learn to interact with your databases using Cold Fusion Markup Language. In this class you will learn to output information from a database to a Web page and to perform a search on a database. You will also leave with the tools to create an active form.

Dynamic HTML:
Dynamic HTML examines the features and functionality of Dynamic HTML. The Document and Dynamic Object Models of both Netscape and Microsoft are discussed in detail. Topics include: Dynamic HTML, Style Sheets, HTML 4.0, Dynamic Object Model, and Images. Understand and use Dynamic HTML. Understand the browser Dynamic Object Model. Understand the implementations of the Dynamic Object Model in both Netscape and Microsoft browsers. Perform image animations.

Registration for Courses:

Students may register for courses at any time up to the first day of class. You will need to register in person with the admissions officer. Please bring the following with you:

ˇ         Initial Payment for registration and tuition fees (Money Order, Certified Check and Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card and American Express)) students receiving financial aid or who have a student loan should bring documentation of such when registering

 

Entrance Requirements

All students must be at least seventeen (17) years of age or before the first day of class. Students Under seventeen (17) years of age must get written Parental Consent.

Additional costs are due the first day of class. Parking can be paid on a weekly basis and private tutoring on an hourly basis. Students who withdraw from the program may be able to sell the textbook back to the school if it is in excellent condition. The student workbook is not returnable. The fee for supplies and materials is non-refundable.

 

Students who damage school property or equipment will be required to pay the repair or replacement costs. These costs will need to be satisfied before additional instruction can be given to the student. Students will need to meet all financial responsibilities before a certificate of graduation/completion will be issued.

 

Refund Policy

Should the student's enrollment be terminated or should the student withdrawal for any reason, all refunds will be made according to the following refund schedule.

 

1.       Students who wish to cancel their enrollment in a course or at the school must do so in writing. The request must include the date of withdrawal (5days) to receive tuition reimbursement for that week. Tuition reimbursement will begin the week the notification is received. It is best to hand deliver the withdrawal letter and have a copy signed by the admissions officer or mail the letter by Certified Mail.

 

2.       A full refund will be issued, if the applicant is not accepted by the school or if the student cancels within three (3) business days after both parties sign the enrollment agreement, even if instruction has begun.

 

3.       Cancellation after the third (3rd) business day, but before the first class, will result in a refund of all monies paid, with the exception of the application and registration fees.

 

4.       Withdrawal after attendance has begun will result in the following refund policy for all programs of 30 instructional hours or more. Each day is at least 2.0 instructional hours in length. An instructional hour is defined as 60 consecutive minutes is dedicated to instruction.

 

Reimbursement Scale

The Following Reimbursement applies only to Certificate Programs or individual course over 30hours in length

 

If Withdrawal or Cancellation occurs:                   The School Retains

During the 1st day of class                                            30% of the tuition

During the 2nd day of class                                            40% of the tuition

During the 5th Day of class                                            50% of the tuition

After the 5th Day of class                                             100% of the tuition

 

Students who have a student loan and withdraw from the program or a course are responsible for notifying the loan institution of their withdrawal. This notification should be done in writing. It should include the date of withdrawal, the student's social security number and signature. Students should maintain a copy of this letter for their files. The Internet Technology Center encourages the development of good business practices in their students. It is to this event that we remind the withdrawing student that the date of withdrawal on the letter to the director must be the same date as their letter to the loan institution.

 

Grants Students Loans and Scholarships

The Internet Technology Training Center does not award grants or scholarships at this time. We do honor grants and scholarships that our students have been awarded from outside organization. We do assist our students with obtaining student loans.

Note:

Students who have obtained a school assisted loan and withdrawal from the school or have had their enrollment terminated must notify the loan institution of their withdrawal. The Internet Training center will reimburse the loan institution for balances due in accordance with the refund policy. The student will be responsible for any balances

 

It should be noted that student loans with the bank must be satisfied regardless of the success or lack of success at The Internet Technology Training Center. When Students are given a loan they sign a promissory note with the bank. The loan is the same as any other loan and students has full responsibility for managing the loan and its repayment.

 

Evaluation Techniques

A test will be administered after each lesson to determine the amount of learning that has taken place. Test scores that are below 75% are an indication that the necessary skills for entry into employment where not acquired. Students should make arrangements for additional practice, independent study or tutoring.

 

Credit Disclaimer Statement

The Internet Technology Training Center does not offer college credit for courses or programs.

Facilities

Internet Technology Training Center features a fully air-conditioned, well-lit facility with a reception area, administration office and Computer Training classrooms. The computers are 586 Pentium computers and each student uses one computer for the entire program. Computer training classes are pre-loaded with the appropriate instructional program (for more details please contact us directly).
